Funding & delivery
The Gateway WA project was jointly funded with the Australian Government contributing $676 million and the State Government contributing $310 million.
Gateway WA was delivered using an alliance contract where five industry leaders CPB Contractors (formerly Leighton Contractors), Georgiou, GHD, AECOM and BG&E – worked in partnership with our State’s road authority, Main Roads Western Australia. The Alliance designed and delivered this iconic infrastructure project for the people of Western Australia.
Work began on the project in 2013. The full scope of works was completed by the end of the first quarter of 2016, ahead of the planned consolidation of the domestic and international Perth Airport terminals.
Gateway WA was a Bigger Picture project, one of several major infrastructure projects transforming Perth and building the city’s capacity for the future. Find out more here.
