Upcoming Tonkin Highway closures in the Southern Zone
The asphalting of Tonkin Highway between Horrie Miller Drive and Roe Highway will require road closures over the coming weeks as this major road upgrade moves towards completion.
The final asphalting of Tonkin Highway in the vicinity of the Tonkin Highway/Horrie Miller Drive/Kewdale Road interchange will take place on the northbound alignment. This will be closely followed by asphalting work on the southbound alignment in the same area.
Road closures will be necessary to ensure the safe delivery of this work and detour signage will be in place to guide motorists.
Following on from this, the asphalting of Tonkin Highway in the vicinity of the Tonkin Highway/Roe Highway interchange will take place. Further road closures will be required to carry out this work.
The Tonkin Highway/Roe Highway interchange is scheduled for completion by the end of March 2016, in line with the overall completion of the Gateway WA project.
