In development of the Project Master Plan, the comments and ideas raised by stakeholders and the community helped identify local needs and preferences, and guide the assessment of issues and options developed by the project team.
Stakeholder and community opinion influenced a number of key project decisions relating to road design, access arrangements, environmental management, amenity for pedestrians and cyclists, and urban design aesthetics for the ‘gateway’ to Western Australia.
The project team has also worked collaboratively with Main Roads, the City of Belmont, the Shire of Kalamunda and the Perth Airport to ensure the views and knowledge of local residents and businesses continue to be taken into account throughout the project.
